Material use and waste reduction

At Snedkergaarden, we strive to create timeless furniture that is not only beautiful and functional, but also sustainable at its core. One of the most important principles in our production is to minimize waste and maximize the potential of materials.

We work closely with our suppliers to ensure that we use the highest quality materials while utilizing resources efficiently. Where possible, the wood is FSC-certified and in cases where this is not possible, we consider the best sustainable alternative. Every piece of wood, metal or fabric used in our production is carefully selected to reduce unnecessary waste. We continuously optimize our production processes and ensure that each material is used in the most appropriate way – from large components to the smallest details. Our customers have high demands on the final result, which automatically means that some wood is discarded. These leftover pieces are used elsewhere in production – for side pieces or packaging.

We are aware that our furniture is often part of other companies’ value chains, which is why we are continuously working to become more aware of our environmental impact.
