Arne Vodder

Arne Vodder (1926 - 2009) is a Danish architect and designer who is considered one of the most influential Scandinavian furniture designers.

Arne Vodder created timeless and functional furniture with a distinctive attention to detail, color and materials. His quiet demeanor and humility contributed to him not achieving the same fame in his lifetime as his mentor and friend Finn Juhl. In recent years, both the Danish and international furniture scene have taken notice of his designs, which are characterized by a unique blend of simplicity and elegance. Vodder trained as a carpenter and architect, working particularly with organic forms and exclusive woods such as rosewood and teak.
