Recommended prices from 8,500 DKK

For decades, Arne Vodder has created designs with a unique balance between aesthetics and functionality. He was heavily inspired by his master, Finn Juhl, but developed his own style with a focus on organic shapes and elegant details, often compared to Juhl's masterpieces. Arne Vodder's works are characterized by high quality and exquisite craftsmanship, which has earned him international recognition and several prestigious awards.

The classic AV462 chair is now back in production at Snedkergaarden Danish Furniture Makers and is available with or without armrests (the model with armrests is called AV462A). The chair is a perfect example of Vodder's ability to create beautiful and comfortable furniture that blends into any space.

The AV462 chair is available in three exclusive hand-sorted wood types:
Oak: Light and timeless, perfect for creating a natural and inviting atmosphere.
Smoked Oak: Darker and more dramatic with a warm, deep hue that lends a sophisticated elegance.
Walnut: Luxurious and rich in detail with a beautiful variation in the grain of the wood.

This chair is designed to be both functional and elegant, with a timeless design that highlights Vodder's flair for organic shapes and natural materials.

Whatever wood you choose, the AV462 chair is an icon of Danish design and a tribute to Vodder's dedication to aesthetics and functionality.

Arne Vodder

Arne Vodder (1926 - 2009) is a Danish architect and designer who is considered one of the most influential Scandinavian furniture designers.

Arne Vodder created timeless and functional furniture with a distinctive attention to detail, color and materials. His quiet demeanor and humility contributed to him not achieving the same fame in his lifetime as his mentor and friend Finn Juhl. In recent years, both the Danish and international furniture scene have taken notice of his designs, which are characterized by a unique blend of simplicity and elegance. Vodder trained as a carpenter and architect, working particularly with organic forms and exclusive woods such as rosewood and teak.
