TURN was designed by Mads K. Johansen, a Danish designer with a strong background as a carpenter and a deep passion for wooden furniture and design. A graduate of both the Danish Design School and Helsinki University of Art and Design, Johansen had a unique ability to combine form, function and materials. His approach to design was deeply rooted in a philosophy that furniture should be both functional and harmonious. For Johansen, it was about creating furniture where the details gave character and where the material and design were united into a natural whole.
TURN, created during his studies in Helsinki, is an excellent example of this philosophy. The innovative design, where the table rotates around an angled leg, is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. One of the table's five legs acts as a supporting part for both tabletops, creating an exciting and dynamic detail in the otherwise simple design.
Since TURN went into production at Snedkergaarden, the design has evolved into a wider collection that includes different shapes, colors and sizes. Some of the models are also mirrored to offer even more interior design options. Johansen's commitment to creating furniture with a harmonious expression and high quality craftsmanship is evident in the TURN series, which combines functionality with timeless aesthetics.
Johansen's work has been recognized internationally and he received several awards and grants for his designs, further cementing his status as a talented and visionary designer.
The price depends on the choice of model, wood type and surface treatment.

"For me, it's important that the furniture is functional and harmonious. That the details give the furniture the character that is experienced when you see and touch it. It's important to me that there is a harmonious expression in the furniture. The material and design must be united so that the furniture has a naturalness. When this is done successfully and with high quality craftsmanship, you have a good and long-lasting piece of furniture."
